About This Site!

The Arkansas/Oklahoma Memorial Day Weekend Fly-In is a large gathering of pilots assembling together to have fun!

We have one of the largest bermuda sod farms in the area, which offers soft green sod and allows unobstructed flying at it's best. Check out Google Earth, Fort Smith, Arkansas (View the sod farm area, which is straight west of Fort Smith and between the city limits and the Arkansas River).

Organized flying begins on Friday morning, May 23, and concludes Monday night, May 26.

Camping is available on-site, electricity available on a first come/first served basis.

A variety of fine dining and fast food restaurants are within 4-10 minutes from the flying area.

There are several hotel/motels located within a 5 mile radius of the sod farms. (Run a Google search for Fort Smith, AR motels/hotels.)

This year again we have several opportunities that PPG pilots don't normally get at fly-ins:

USPPA Rating Clinics: PPG 1-3, Tandem, and Instructor (call for availability)

For current rated PG pilots, we will offer guided departures each day to the PG mountain launches (30-60 minute drive from sod farm)

For those of you interested in transitioning from PPG to PG, give me a call and we can discuss your training options. Free flying is a hoot!

USHPA tandem flights will also be available.

If you are new to the sport or still ‘tire-kicking’, you need to attend. This is the place where you can see it all !!! Also, if you are struggling with a particular flying skill, there will likely be many advanced pilots available to answer your questions and/or offer guidance.
